NA-105
Sint Maarten Island, Netherland Antilles, IOTA NA-105
In November 2007 from 15th till 28th, I started another Dxpedition to the West Indies, exactly to St. Maarten Island. In November it was really nice to have temperatures about 77 F up to 95 F. Together with Bernd (DH1ND) and Jürgen (DJ5HD) we activated the island on all modes and on all bands except the 6m-band. For that trip we rent a house right on a mountain of that island and we had a nice view to St. Bartholomy Island.
On the picture gallery you can see the top views of that outstanding location with a nice pool (for recreation time between the pile-ups). We created a new new short synonym for our QSO-time outs: OIP-10, which means "operator in pool", instead of QRX-10.

Working Conditions
The house we rented had a free view to the East and the North. Thus it was easy to work Europe and the United States, too.
Even a very long distance call to New Sealand was possible with only 100 watts in SSB (I suggested, that perhaps the location makes more than 2 dBs)- HI!
